Sea for yourself: Coolum
Aside from its beautiful beaches spanning kilometres across the coastline, Coolum offers spectacular coastal walkways, showcasing some of the Sunshine Coast’s finest views. A particularly popular spot is Point Arkwright, but you cannot beat the sights to be seen from atop Mt Coolum – they are views to climb for! A brilliant way to begin the day, you can climb the 208 metre-high isolated volcanic dome within an hour, or you can take your time and enjoy a nice bottle of white with some cheese at the end of a working week.
A Little Britain: Montville
If you’re looking for a little bit of British charm, then Montville should definitely be atop the to-do list. With cosy cobble-stone streets, perfectly manicured gardens, and old-style pubs, this little hinterland town is one not to miss. Montville is situated within the Blackall Range, sitting between 158 and 429 metres above sea level. There are old-fashioned clock shops and toy stores to explore, cafes to enjoy while looking over rolling plush-green mountains, and loads of specialty shops where you’re guaranteed to find a treasures for the home.
Come as you are: Mooloolaba
Located at the heart of the Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba is referred to by many as a world-class destination. Blending sophistication and style, this costal pocket offers sleek accommodation options, waterfront bars and restaurants, and a range of casual and formal shopping destinations. There are also a number of whale watching tours available to take you out on the water for a sunset cruise with Whale One.
